This fall, Sprocket is launching the Regional Innovation Initiative, a connected journey for founders across our 22-county Western Kentucky region.

It starts with the Regional Roadshow, bringing entrepreneurship resources directly to communities across our region.

From there, founders can apply for our free seven-week Innovation Challenge to test and validate a real business idea, building toward Demo Day early next year.

Whether you have an idea you haven't acted on yet or you're ready to put in the work, this is where to start.

This month’s Coffee Hour is brought to you by Paducah Bank!

"At Paducah Bank, we're passionate about supporting local entrepreneurs with the relationships, resources, and financial solutions they need to grow. As Paducah's only locally owned financial institution, we're invested in the success of the businesses, innovators, and communities we serve. We're proud to sponsor Sprocket's Entrepreneur Support Coffee Hour and support the people and ideas shaping our region's future.”

Because of sponsors like them, Sprocket’s Coffee Hour doesn’t cost the entrepreneurs, small business owners, nonprofit leaders, and community builders a thing to show up, learn, and connect.

What if you could validate your business idea before building the product?

That’s the purpose of a Mafia Offer.
A Mafia Offer is an offer your customers can’t refuse - not because it’s pushy, but because it:

• Solves a problem they care deeply about
• Promises a better outcome
• Clearly demonstrates your value
• Gives them an easy way to say yes

Inside Market Fit Lab, founders learn how to build and test these offers before investing significant time and money into building their business.

Because the goal isn’t just to hear, “That’s a great idea.”

It’s to hear, “Where do I sign up?”

It’s World Entrepreneurship Day, and we know that building a strong entrepreneurial ecosystem takes more than one organization.

It takes partners who are willing to invest in the long-term success of entrepreneurs, businesses, and communities.

We’re excited to welcome Houchens Insurance Group and Open Door Accounting as Corporate Partners of the West Kentucky ETA (Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition) initiative.

By joining this effort, they’re helping strengthen conversations around business continuity, ownership transition, and the future of locally owned businesses across Western Kentucky.

West Kentucky ETA is built on collaboration, bringing together business owners, future owners, lenders, advisors, and community partners to ensure strong businesses have a path forward.

We’re grateful to have these organizations alongside us as we continue growing this initiative and supporting the next generation of business ownership.

Entrepreneurship doesn't happen in just one city.

It happens in kitchens, coffee shops, and garages across all 22 counties of Western Kentucky.

That's the idea behind the Regional Innovation Initiative: making sure founders in every corner of our region, not just the biggest towns, have real access to coaching, resources, and a community that wants to see them succeed.

One way we're doing that: the Innovation Challenge, a free 7-week program to help you validate your idea, build a business model, and pitch with confidence.

No cost to entrepreneurs in Western Kentucky.

Applications are open now.

Roadshow dates are also coming soon, so keep an eye out for a stop near you.
