It’s time to vote for next year’s officers and for our annual awards. Nominations are open now until end of day May 11th. Voting will take place during the May 12th meeting and be open until Wednesday night.

A few things. You must be in good standing(dues paid) to be eligible to be an officer or win an award.

Officer Nominations-You can nominate yourself if you want. The survey allows you to list one person per category. President, Vice President(must be willing to become President for the 2027-2028 term), Secretary, and Treasurer.

Award List 2026

Spirit Award- Recognizes an individual who has dedicated her time and engagement to promote the objectives and mission of PPW with enthusiasm.

Professional/Leader of the Year- Someone who makes her mark as a professional both in the community and through their contributions to PPW.

Rookie of the Year-Celebrates a member who is new to their profession within the past year that has demonstrated a great potential to excel.

Business/ Entrepreneur of the Year- Recognizes a business or individual that supports PPW through their profession participating,encouraging, and fostering growth.

Community Champion Award-Someone who demonstrates a commitment to serving others in both community and business working with others to inspire their employees to volunteer and work to make the community a better place.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make Power of the Purse a successful event! If you bought a ticket, bid on a purse, or helped get a donation you contributed to the success! If you were there, you were blessed to hear the knowledge of Dr Bernice Willis. I look forward to seeing everyone on May 12th for our normal meeting time.

Don’t forget to buy your raffle tickets! The raffle closes at Monday evening. None of these tickets are sold the day of the event. Don’t forget your tickets for Tuesday, too. Don’t forget we will not have or regular meeting this Tuesday, because Power of the Purse is just 9 days away(Tuesday the 21st)! It will be a wonderful event that will leave you uplifted and inspired. In addition, there is a gorgeous Coach raffle purse valued at $628. Tickets are available to purchase for $10 each. The sale of those tickets end the evening of Monday the 20th. Event tickets are on sale for $60 and must be purchased in advance to attend. Finally, there will be 25 fabulous purses stuffed with all kinds of goodies available to bid on. I will post the link to the raffle purses once it is live. We had a great meeting this past Tuesday with guest speaker, Karlie Ballet with Physiques by Karlie. She spoke about the importance of the right type of exercise and nutrition along with mental health. Thank you Karlie! Congratulations to our door prize winners as well.
