We have open categories for individuals who will bring enthusiasm and integrity to our meeting. Just one person per professional specialty is allowed in each chapter. 📣 BNI Impact Member Spotlight Recap!

Last Friday, we had two great member presentations that showcased just how much knowledge, experience, and variety we have within our BNI Impact Chapter.

🏢 Bryon Harlan – Wilson Office Solutions

Bryon Harlan, owner of Wilson Office Solutions, gave us a look at a company with an incredible history of serving businesses since 1902.

Wilson Office Solutions is much more than office supplies. They help businesses with office equipment, printers and copiers, furniture, technology, software solutions, promotional products, and much more. Bryon also shared several of the major brands and manufacturers they work with, along with Wilson’s continued commitment to helping local businesses find dependable solutions as technology and workplace needs continue to change.

One thing that really stood out was just how long Wilson Office Solutions has been adapting and growing alongside the businesses they serve. More than 120 years in business says a lot about their commitment to their customers and community.

They also continue to look for innovative and environmentally responsible options, including sustainable and tree-free paper products.

💄 Carmela Ballard – Mary Kay Cosmetics

Carmela Ballard shared an informative presentation about Mary Kay and the wide variety of products and personalized services she provides.

Carmela has been with Mary Kay since 2014, and she explained how Mary Kay offers skincare options for men, women, and teens, with products designed for normal, dry, oily, acne-prone, sensitive, and aging skin.

She also highlighted targeted products for concerns such as dark circles, wrinkles, blemishes, skin firmness, and age spots, along with eye-care products and some of Mary Kay’s newer skincare technology.

One of the biggest advantages of working directly with Carmela is the personal service and customized care you receive. Whether you’re shopping for yourself, birthdays, holidays, Mother’s Day, or other special occasions, she can help put together something specifically for the person receiving it.

Carmela also shared her Adopt a Grandparent for Christmas program, which provides gifts and hand cream to local elderly residents during the holiday season. ❤️

🎉 BNI IMPACT VISITOR’S DAY WAS A GREAT SUCCESS! 🎉

We had a fantastic turnout for our BNI Impact Visitor’s Day, with a room full of local business owners and professionals learning more about what BNI is really about: building relationships, creating opportunities, and helping each other grow.

A big thank you to everyone who came out and spent the morning with us, and especially to our two featured presenters, Bryon Harlan with Wilson Office Solutions and Connor Horath with Squeaky Clean, who shared their own BNI stories.

💼 Bryon Harlan | Wilson Office Solutions

Bryon talked about his experience in BNI and the importance of building relationships, learning about the businesses of fellow members, and finding the right referral partners. His presentation was a great reminder that BNI isn’t simply about showing up every week and handing out business cards. The real value comes from developing relationships with people who understand what you do and can confidently recommend you.

One of his biggest takeaways on “How to Win in BNI” was pretty simple:

👉 Meet with your group and identify common referral partners.
👉 Learn about them and their businesses.
👉 Be willing to ask for advice and listen.
👉 Work hard and stay consistent.

🦆 Connor Horath | Squeaky Clean

Connor shared an incredible look at the growth of Squeaky Clean and what being part of a strong referral network has meant to his business.

He talked about starting out just 14 months into business, having completed 74 jobs and approximately $48,100 in gross revenue while doing the administrative work himself, working on the truck, having only part-time help, and working full-time as a nurse.

His words on the screen summed it up perfectly:

“I was stuck.”

Fast forward, and the numbers he shared showed just how dramatically things have changed. Squeaky Clean has grown its team, built a strong community presence, developed valuable partnerships and relationships, and completed work ranging from hundreds of homes to hotels, banks, commercial properties and more.

Connor’s story was a great real-world example of what can happen when hard work is combined with the right relationships, referrals, partnerships, and community involvement.

His presentation ended with a quote that fit the morning perfectly:

“Do so much volume that it would be unreasonable for you to fail.”

🤝 THAT’S WHAT BNI IMPACT IS ABOUT.

BNI isn’t a quick sales pitch or a room full of people passing business cards around. It’s about getting to know other local business owners, understanding their businesses, earning trust, and building a network of people who actively look for opportunities to help one another succeed.

Visitor’s Day gave our guests an opportunity to see that firsthand.

A huge THANK YOU to Bryon and Connor for sharing their stories, to all of our BNI Impact members who helped make the morning happen, and especially to every visitor who joined us!

We hope you enjoyed the morning, made some new connections, and got a better understanding of what makes BNI Impact such a special group.

💡 The past few weeks at BNI Impact have been packed with valuable education, meaningful conversations, and reminders of why surrounding yourself with quality professionals matters.

Every Friday, our members don’t just come together to exchange referrals—we learn from experts who help us become better business owners, better leaders, and better resources for our clients.

🎤 Kim Cates with Kacy Coaching challenged us to think differently about leadership and communication. She shared practical strategies for personal and professional growth, reminding us that success starts with how we lead ourselves before we lead others.

🏡 Amanda Johnson gave an outstanding presentation on the power of paying attention. People rarely walk up and say, “I need a Realtor,” but they often leave clues through everyday conversations—whether they’re talking about a new job, growing family, retirement, taxes, insurance, or life changes. Great referral partners don’t wait to be asked…they recognize opportunities to connect people with the right professional when it matters most.

💰 Brittany Nielsen with Open Door Accounting + Coaching tackled one of today’s biggest challenges: separating TikTok tax tips from real tax strategy. From write-offs and payroll myths to S-Corporations and viral tax “hacks,” she explained why social media often leaves out the details that can make or break your financial decisions. Her message was simple: don’t build your tax plan around a 60-second video—build it around trusted professional advice.

📈 Robert Alexander rounded out our recent presenters by sharing valuable insight from his own experience, reminding us that continuing education and learning from one another is one of the greatest benefits of being part of a strong networking organization.

At BNI Impact, education is just as important as referrals. Every presentation helps us better understand each other’s businesses so we can confidently connect our clients, friends, family, and community with professionals we know and trust.

📢 IMPORTANT BNI IMPACT UPDATE

Due to an unexpected building maintenance issue, our BNI Impact meeting scheduled for tomorrow has been canceled.

The meeting facility will be closed through August 7, so there will be no meeting tomorrow.

🎉 What a Great Way to Wrap Up Before Our Holiday Break! 🎉

Our final two BNI Impact meetings before the holiday break featured four outstanding Feature Presentations, giving us the opportunity to learn more about the businesses, experience, and passion behind some of our amazing members.

🎨 Mark Armstrong with Property Revival Painting walked us through the wide variety of services his team offers, from interior and exterior painting to cabinet refinishing, deck staining, popcorn ceiling removal, and even blackout basement ceilings. We also learned about the standards they hold themselves to with vetted employees, background checks, insurance, and professional industry affiliations. If your home or business needs a fresh look, Mark is definitely someone to call!

📻 Lew Jetton with Bristol Broadcasting gave us an eye-opening presentation on the power of radio and local media advertising. He shared why traditional radio continues to be one of the most effective ways to stay top-of-mind, reach new customers, and build a brand. His decades of experience in weather, broadcasting, and marketing made for an informative presentation that gave all of us plenty to think about.

🔨 Devan “Sully” Sullenger with Sully’s Construction shared his inspiring journey of building a successful construction company through determination, hard work, and a commitment to quality. He walked us through the many services his team provides, including home additions, remodels, repairs, decks, and more. What stood out most was his passion for dependable service, honest communication, and delivering craftsmanship that customers can trust. If you’re looking for someone to bring your home improvement vision to life, Sully is a great referral to have.

🩺 Dr. Michael Winters with Winters Wellness Center challenged us to think beyond simply treating pain and instead focus on building long-term health. He shared how his practice helps patients identify the root cause of health concerns while educating them on creating lasting wellness through chiropractic care, movement, and healthy lifestyle choices. Dr. Winters also explained the importance of partnering with patients who are committed to investing in their health, making him an excellent resource for anyone seeking a more proactive approach to wellness.

Every Friday, our members invest in each other’s success by sharing knowledge, building relationships, and looking for opportunities to pass quality referrals. That’s what makes BNI Impact so special—we don’t just learn what our members do, we learn why they do it and how we can confidently recommend them.

BNI Impact Chapter kicked off summer with a beach-themed meeting, and we had a great time doing it! 🌴☀️

Our featured presenters were Kim Cates with KC Coaching and Leslie Arnett with Corporal Clean Auto Detail & Paint Protection.

Kim shared the heart behind KC Coaching and how she helps people grow with confidence, purpose, and direction. With her background in education, guidance counseling, professional coaching, and leadership, she brings a lot of wisdom to helping people manage stress and move forward with intention.

Leslie shared how Corporal Clean has grown from auto detailing into paint correction, ceramic coatings, paint protection film, and high-end vehicle protection. At the end of the day, it is all about protecting what people worked hard for and putting pride in every ride. 🚗✨

That is what makes BNI so valuable. We get to learn the stories behind each business, build real relationships, and know exactly who to call when someone needs a trusted local professional.

Great job, Kim and Leslie, and thanks to everyone who helped make our beach-themed meeting such a fun way to kick off summer! 🏖️

BNI Impact Chapter Speaker Spotlight

𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗵𝘂𝗮 𝗠𝗰𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝘀 with 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗪𝘆𝗻𝗻 𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 walked us through everything that makes Chip Wynn the most interesting dealership in Paducah. Family-owned since 1947, they carry all types of vehicles — from a 1929 Ford Model A to a 2024 Tesla — and if they don’t have it, they’ll find it. 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗵 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗱 with 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗣𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 gave us a deep dive into everything BPS handles — residential, commercial, new construction, service work, gas piping, and emergency after-hours calls. One big takeaway: get your water heater flushed once a year, especially tankless units. It extends the life of the equipment and keeps everything running clean. Last Friday we had two incredible featured presentations that reminded us why this group is so special.
𝗝𝗲𝗳𝗳 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗻 with 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁-𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗼. opened a lot of eyes! Turns out First-Line is so much more than fire extinguishers. Jeff walked us through commercial fire alarm control systems, monitoring solutions, and a full security camera setup that had the whole room impressed. 𝗝𝗲𝗳𝗳 𝗟𝗲𝗲 with 𝗟𝗲𝗲’𝘀 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗶𝗿 shared his remarkable entrepreneurial journey from selling his first mobile home at age 12 to building multiple successful businesses. Jeff is also launching his newest venture, 𝗞𝘆 𝗟𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀, and announced he’s running for 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗿! Big things ahead for Jeff and we’re proud to have him in our chapter!
