Lone Oak Lions paused during our Memorial Day meeting to honor and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation. We will never forget.
Our speaker for the evening was Darrell Tharp, Service Officer with the local chapter of Disabled American Vets (DAV). Darrell discussed the various local organizations that support veterans and their families. In appreciation for Darrell speaking to us, we made a donation to DAV in his name.

What a BEAUTIFUL day for a round of golf!

A massive THANK YOU to everyone who came out to Paxton Park on May 15th for the 2026 Lone Oak Lions Charity Golf Scramble! We had 20 teams hit the greens, and we couldn't have asked for better weather or better company.

The absolute best part of the day? All proceeds raised from the event will be used to benefit local charities in our community. We have been giving back to our amazing community since 1948, and thanks to your generosity, we get to keep that tradition going strong!

Enjoy pancakes, breakfast sandwiches, fresh fruit, and coffee while reconnecting with friends and touring the school.

Lone Oak Lions welcomed Strawberry Hills Pharmacy owner Daniel Jones as speaker at its April 27, 2026, meeting. While Strawberry Hills is a full-service pharmacy it specializes as a compounding pharmacy as well. A compounding pharmacy makes custom medications by mixing ingredients to meet an individual patient’s needs—such as special doses, allergy‑free formulas, or alternate forms like liquids or creams. As a compounding pharmacy they follow professional standards and state oversight. Daniel entertained several questions from members.
In appreciation for taking the time to talk to us the club made a donation in his name to Easterseals West Kentucky.

At our club’s April 28, 2026 meeting, we had the honor of celebrating Past Club President and all-around great guy, Lion Ned Buchanan, on his 90th birthday!

Lion Ned joined the club back in January 1960, and his dedication has made a lasting impact over the years. He played a huge role in the success of our club, especially in the development of Lone Oak Park, management of the Lone Oak Community Center and working the club's Gas and Steam Engine Show.

Here’s to 90 amazing years and a legacy of service, leadership, and community spirit.
