Happy !

Today we honor the legacy of the last enslaved African Americans in Texas who were finally informed of their freedom, some two and a half years after President Abraham Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation. It was those people, and the generations of Texans who came after them, who made the bold declaration to celebrate this day, marking a reality we know far too well in this country: freedom may be delayed, but it will never be denied.

Though our fight for freedom sadly continues, today we pause to celebrate and embrace the joy of our ancestors who believed in the possibilities of a more promising tomorrow. And in that joy, we remain anchored, steadfast in our pursuit of true freedom and justice for all.

As we bring May Week to a close, we celebrated our 56th Charter Day Celebration by elevating our 56 Acts of Kindness!

A special shoutout to everyone who participated and demonstrated that service is truly what we do! Your acts of compassion, community engagement, and sisterhood made a meaningful impact throughout our community.

Thank you to our incredible May Week Chair, Soror Smith-Anderson, and the entire committee for an exceptional job planning and executing a phenomenal week of service and fellowship. We also extend heartfelt appreciation to all PAC Sorors who showed their continued support and dedication.

A sincere thank you to our community supporters and community partners for standing alongside us throughout May Week. Your collaboration, encouragement, and commitment to service helped make each event impactful and memorable. Community partnership truly makes a difference, and we are grateful for the continued support.

Together, we continue to uphold the legacy of sisterhood, scholarship, service, and social action.

The Paducah Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. would like to sincerely thank all of our amazing guests, community partners, vendors, volunteers, and planning team members who helped make our Health in the Park event meaningful and memorable.

Although the weather interrupted our time together, we were still able to share moments of laughter, smiles, wellness, fellowship, and community connection. That alone made the day special.

Thank you to every organization, agency, and individual who showed up, supported the vision, and partnered with us to help build a healthier Paducah. Your presence reminded us that community matters, partnership makes a difference, and teamwork truly shifts the atmosphere.

We appreciate your flexibility, support, and commitment to serving our community. We look forward to continuing the work together and seeing everyone again soon!

What an incredible afternoon of empowerment, education, fellowship, and community connection at the We Serve Sunday Divine 9 Brunch: “The Power of Me, The Strength of We.”

Your voices inspired, challenged, and empowered everyone in attendance.
