🎀 Breast Cancer Awareness Goes Beyond October 🎀
Although breast cancer is recognized nationally during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, for survivors like Renita Strong and the other courageous women we have highlighted in our Community Spotlights this month, breast cancer was never limited to just one month.
For Renita, the journey began at only 32 years old, when she was given a 30% chance to live. After aggressive chemotherapy, radiation, difficult days, faith, and the support of family, friends, and coworkers, she survived. In December 2026, Renita will celebrate an incredible 33 years cancer-free!💗🎉
Their stories remind us that the effects of breast cancer don't disappear when October ends. Survivors and their families may carry the physical, emotional, and personal impact of this disease year-round.
So as Breast Cancer Awareness Month comes to a close, let us continue to educate, support, encourage screenings, listen to survivors, and honor their journeys every month of the year.
To Renita and every woman we have had the privilege of spotlighting this month: we see you, we celebrate you, and we honor your strength. 💕
🎀 Celebrating Strength, Courage & Hope all year long.
