A new month is here, and we’re stepping into it with gratitude, purpose, and celebration.

June is a special month as we honor Juneteenth—a reminder of freedom, resilience, and the strength of those who came before us. ❤️💛💚🖤

It’s also Black Music Month, a time to celebrate the artists, creators, and sounds that have shaped culture, inspired generations, and provided the soundtrack to our stories. 🎶

As we move through this month, let’s continue supporting our communities, celebrating our history, uplifting Black voices, and creating spaces where everyone can thrive.

Calling all Black families living in Ventura County! You are invited to attend a Community Listening Session hosted by the African American Clergy Coalition on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at Bethel A.M.E. Church in Oxnard. This gathering will center the lived experiences of Black students and families in Ventura County, particularly in light of the increasing reports of racial hate speech and violence occurring in our schools.
