Last spring, I was mowing my lawn and had the epiphany that there are a lot of people in our city who could likely use some help with their regular lawn maintenance.
Most of you who know me know that I have a passion for lawn care, and on that day it struck me that it was time to put that passion to work for others, who also love their yards but may not have the ability to take care of it to the extent that they would like to.
Being that I am currently growing my insurance business, I knew I would be limited in my scheduling and ability to help as many folks as I wanted to- but I wanted to give it my best shot.
Over the summer I have assisted as many Monroe folks as possible, but going into the Fall and next Spring, I would really love to be able to scale this in a way that we would allow us to help many more residents than I am currently able to.
To reiterate, this is a pro-bono service that is meant to put a smile on the faces of people in our community who deserve our help. My vision is to slowly scale Goodneighbor into a way for young folks to gain community service, and to show grace and kindness to our neighbors.
If you are in any way interested in helping at some point in the future, please send us a message!
