Applications for the Community Fund are due October 15!

The Community Fund makes possible two rounds of annual funding, one in May and one in November, for unrestricted grants intended to support nonprofit projects and initiatives that respond to the changing needs of the community.

Applicants must be a 501 (c)(3) tax-exempt organization or a government entity or school district.

A simple idea in 2019 has grown into a lasting investment in Little Valley.

From park improvements and summer concerts to Martha’s Corner at the Memorial Library and the new downtown mural, the fund is helping turn a shared connection to Little Valley into tangible community impact.

And because it’s an endowment, that impact can continue for generations to come.

Congratulations to honorary CRCF board member Joe Higgins on this distinguished recognition!

On top of being an honorary board member, Joe and his late wife, Cecily, were honored as the 2018 Friends of the Foundation. The first project that CRCF undertook in 1996 was the Allegheny River Trail project, with Joe's leadership being a guiding force. Needless to say, we wouldn't be where we are today without leaders like Joe!

Cattaraugus Gives isn't just for nonprofits - CRCF scholarship funds can participate, too!

Last year, participating scholarship funds raised over $14,000. If you advise a scholarship at CRCF, now is the time to register your fund and start planning for Cattaraugus Gives on December 1.

Take a look at the new Ray Evans mural in Salamanca!

The mural is one of the many installments of the Painting with a Purpose initiative, led by the Tri-County Arts Council, which has plans for eight permanent murals and eight movable art installations that can be displayed throughout Salamanca. An initial grant of $20,000 from the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation Leverage Fund helped get this project off the ground.

A legacy of leadership, mentorship and heart will live on.

A memorial fund has been established in honor of former St. Bonaventure University basketball coach Ron DeCarli, creating a lasting way to remember the impact he had on his players, students and the community.
