What a Wonderful 2️⃣-Day Winter Outerwear Event!
We took advantage of the long holiday weekend to help as many children as possible, and what a wonderful couple of days it was! We were able to provide 60+ children with brand-new coats, boots, hats, and gloves alongside the amazing St. Bonaventure Men’s Soccer Team! 🐺⚽️🤎
These young men are truly incredible! Every single one treated each child with respect, kindness, and genuine care. They absolutely loved making the children smile, and their actions beautifully reflected the Franciscan values of compassion, service, and love for others. We are so grateful to have shared this experience with them!
A heartfelt thank-you to our OWH volunteers Dana Cilano, Chris Rosel, Karen MacFarland, Tracey Spears, and Diane Balaban for all your hard work and for the kindness and compassion you show every child. Your dedication makes such a difference!
We also want to thank Ann and Dale Anderson for helping Fred Tompkins set up all the tents in preparation for yesterday’s inclement weather. That was a BIG job, and we truly appreciate your time and effort!

That’s $120 per child! For 60 children, that represents approximately $7,200 worth of brand-new winter essentials going out our doors to help keep children in our community warm, safe, and healthy. ❤️
To everyone who volunteered, donated, organized, and helped make these two days so special — THANK YOU! Your kindness reaches far beyond the coats, boots, hats, and gloves. You are showing these children that their community cares about them.
