We are often asked what our most needed items are. At this time, our most pressing need is size 4T-5T boys underwear. We only have three packages left.
Donations can be dropped off at 126 S. 9th St. on the front porch at any time, or you can visit us at OWH, 920 N. 4th St., on Tuesday from 2 to 4 or Thursday from 1 to 3. Thank you for your kindness and generosity. ❤️😊❤️

Many, many thanks to Beth Kalafatich for these beautiful pillowcases! The children love choosing one when they receive a new pillow, and the joy you bring by sharing your sewing talents is truly amazing! Your kindness makes such a difference, and we are so grateful.

Being able to help a mother prepare for the birth of her child is truly an honor. Knowing that the gifts we are able to provide are new, beautiful, and made with care reflects the love and respect we have for the new life joining our community.
From beautifully handcrafted quilts and lovingly crocheted or knitted sweaters to soft, colorful burp cloths, each item is a special expression of kindness and support.
We are blessed to be able to share these gifts with growing families. Thank you to every donor who creates these beautiful items with such skill, generosity, and love. Your contributions help warmly welcome each baby into our community and remind families that they are cared for from the very beginning. ❤️

We're blessed with devoted supporters and donors nationwide! ❤️ Their kindness knows no bounds! Amazing educational materials and books arrived from Connecticut, courtesy of OWH governing board member Dr. Paula Scraba, bringing joy to our children in New York State. Beautiful clothing also arrived from California, generously donated by a dear friend of OWH advisory council member Shayne DiCerbo. Every gift, big or small, empowers us to continue our mission, and we're grateful for the love and support of our incredible donors.

The First Step Family Resource Center, a program of Ardent Solutions, is proud to host the NYS Dental Foundation Oral Health Prevention Project. This initiative provides young children with essential early‑childhood oral health services at no cost to families. Children under the age of 5 will receive a free dental screening and fluoride treatment performed by a licensed dental hygienist. No dental insurance will be collected, and all services are provided completely free of charge. Appointments are 20 minutes/child.

Since January 1, 2026, we have been blessed to serve more than 500 children in need in our community. We are averaging 100 visitors a month. ❤️
Because of the incredible generosity of our donors and the dedication of our volunteers, every child we serve receives:
• New outerwear
• New clothing
• New underwear, socks and shoes
• New pajamas
• Dental care and personal hygiene items
• Age-appropriate new books and toys
•New Blankets and Pillows
We have also helped prepare mothers for the birth of their babies by providing new infant clothing, formula and hundreds upon hundreds of diapers and wipes to families who need a helping hand.
None of this would be possible without our amazingly supportive donors and the BIG hearts of our volunteers. Your kindness, compassion, and willingness to give are changing lives every single day.
Thank you for believing in our mission and helping us bring comfort, dignity, and hope to children and families in need. We are so grateful for each and every one of you. ❤️
