Come and join our program as we add Willow Creek, located in Hinsdale, NY on September 3rd @ 10a, into our living center rotation. We were contacted by the VA and was asked if we could add the veterans that reside there into our program and of course, we said yes.
We hope to see you there to help us welcome these veterans into our program.

Four recent Portville Central School graduates were awarded scholarships from funds managed by the Cattaraugus Region Community Foundation.

T NYC Department of Veterans' Services and help spread word about the Remembrance Ruck on September 13.

The Ruck is an opportunity for New Yorkers to come together to recognize the service and contributions of the post-9/11 generation of Veterans, Service Members and Military Families, remember those we have lost, and strengthen the connections that continue beyond military service.

Starting at Cadman Plaza, participants will cross the Brooklyn Bridge and finish at Foley Square, followed by a Veteran and military community resource fair at Surrogate’s Court.

We understand the value of bringing New York City’s Veteran community together and hope you’ll sign up and ruck with them.

🇺🇸 V-J Day

On September 2, 1945, the formal Instrument of Surrender was signed aboard the USS Missouri in Tokyo Bay, marking the official end of World War II.

The news of Japan’s surrender had first been announced on August 15, 1945, leading to celebrations and relief around the world. From spontaneous parades to the iconic Times Square kiss, millions rejoiced.

Today, we remember the sacrifices made and honor those who helped secure peace for future generations.

National Service Dog Month, established in 2008 by actor Dick Van Patten, honors the incredible dogs who serve alongside individuals with disabilities. These remarkable K-9 recruits are more than family pets and offer much more than emotional support. They are highly trained partners with a mission, performing specific tasks that help their handlers live more independent and fulfilling lives.

Did you know that right here in Western New York, service dogs are trained specifically to support our nation's veterans? 🇺🇸🐾 These faithful battle buddies provide assistance, companionship, and unwavering support to those who have served our country.
