The sun rises and the sun sets. My Ugandan summer has come to a close. I value the extended time I have there during my time off from work, and I squeeze in as much as possible before my teaching job consumes my energy. No matter how challenging this divided life is on my heart and mind, I will always be thankful for the blessings and burdens God sees fit to hand over. I don't understand this crazy, messy, complicated life, but no one ever promised we should understand or even feel comfortable. In moments like now, my mind reminds me to have hope in the Lord's good plan, but my heart feels weak. Knowing and feeling are two different things. Let me take a few days to let it in, feel it and spend time focusing on appreciating. It was a productive summer where NorthStar Tour and Travel facilitated 3 groups successfully. Visitors enriched the lives of our children while also fortifying their own. We actualized a *huge* dream and major accomplishment by opening our clinic and serving our community with a free camp. We reached out to the community, and we continued to develop our programs. Our graduates continue to shine in their leadership skills, and most importantly, we had quality time. Thank you for everyone who supports me and our Literacy of Love family and projects.
