In our largest Nehemiah Action ever, over 1700 courageous citizens gathered to ask a simple question in love:

If not now, tell us when?

When will Johnson County create a fund that secures the future of affordable housing?

When will Johnson County seniors be able to access CAPABLE, a proven program for aging-in-place?

GFN came ready to move forward in the spirit of finding common ground tonight. But still, the answer we received: not yet.

But 'not yet' has been the answer for far, far too long.

We’re not going anywhere until we hear yes.

Good Faith Network joined Churches United for Justice today for a tour of the history that has shaped our two counties. And we feel the effects today.

Redlining. Restrictive covenants. Entire communities locked out.

If we’re serious about reversing that legacy, we must invest in housing for the people who are still being left out and left behind.

That’s the work... And it’s happening now.

Churches United for Justice gathers for their Nehemiah on April 27.

Good Faith Network gathers the very next night, April 28.

Two counties, a shared history...and a growing voice that refuses to accept it as the future.

News worth celebrating! This happened because Johnson County made a strategic investment of $2.38 million in HOME-ARP funds to close the gap and get this project across the finish line.

Johnson County has used one-time dollars to help create hundreds of units across our community. And the results are clear: when the County steps in to close the financial gap, housing comes on-line.

The question now: when will we build a permanent tool do this kind of work at scale?
