Bat house installed! Girl Scout Troop 71226 researched and learned that 9 species of bats are native to WNY, vital to our ecosystem, and face significant challenges of habitat loss and disease. They learned the fallacy of the common myths of rabies and biting humans.

NTBGO has installed a bat house to further education about these vital mammals that eat millions of mosquitos daily. No expensive contracts for pesticides required.

Our team installed the bat box in a remote area of the botanical garden. We look forward to seeing bat visitors next season!
