Well all we can say is sometimes rescue is a bit trashy of a job. Tuesday we were contacted by our wonderful DCO a call came in regarding a mom and babies in a dumpster. So ok we thinking one of those smaller store dumpsters so we got this, Kim and Sarah W headed out to meet the police at the dumpster. Ummm yeah not the case it was one of the enormous dumpsters and it was packed to the brim.
After a while of trying to dig through it all we knew this was not how we were getting them. So we decided to make room for traps somewhere in the dumpster. Then comes in Amanda H.
Amanda H and Sarah W quickly trapped mama and we able to sn**ch one baby without a trap. Then the waiting and waiting. So out came the camera to watch where the other babies were traveling within the dumpster. After two days of patiently waiting all four babies and mama have successfully been secured. AMAZING job ladies. This family of kitties have a new lease on life because of your dedication. Thank you.

🌈🐾 In Loving Memory of Ru 🐾🌈

Recently, our Director’s beloved pup, Ru, crossed the Rainbow Bridge. 💔🌈

Ru wasn’t just a dog. He was family, a best friend, and a beautiful reminder of what rescue is truly about love, compassion, dedication, and never giving up on a life that needs you.

Ru was rescued at just one week old. He was bottle-fed, cared for around the clock, and given every bit of love he deserved. In return, he gave 12 incredible years of unconditional love, loyalty, and companionship. ❤️

He lived an amazing, spoiled life, exactly the kind of life every rescued animal deserves. 🐾

The bond between Ru and our Director was something truly special. It was built from those countless bottle feedings, sleepless nights, little moments, big milestones, and 12 years of knowing that they had saved each other.

His story is a beautiful example of why we rescue.
Why we fight for the tiny, helpless ones.
Why we bottle-feed through the night.
Why we spend countless hours, dollars, and tears helping animals who have nowhere else to turn.

So, in honor of Ru, we would like to ask our Kat Colony family to consider making a donation to Kat Colony in his memory. ❤️🐾

Every donation will help us continue giving other animals the same chance Ru was given, a chance at a safe, loved, and spoiled life.
