WIN - Women Involved in Newtown

We are a non-profit organization made up of Newtown women working together to support our community Yearly dues are $25.

We are a group of Newtown women that meet once a month Sept- May at the Newtown Community Center or a member's home. We partner together with social services and other organizations in town to identify and assist individuals and families in need. We also like to volunteer our time as a group when opportunities come up throughout the year. You can participate in WIN as much or as little as your sch

🌼🍁 Mum season is upon us and so is our Fall Mum Fundraiser! 🍁🌼
Please consider purchasing your garden mums this year through our annual fundraiser. All proceeds will benefit our WIN Scholarship Fund in memory of Sue Rubino. Our scholarship is awarded to a student at Newtown High School who demonstrates exemplary community service. Please see flyer for purchasing information and thank you for your support!

WIN members filled 80 backpacks this year with school supplies for Newtown students in need. Many thanks to everyone that helped with the Back to School Supply Drive and for the generous donations we received.

Come create hope with us! 🎨

Meet us at NewSylum Brewing Company from 6-8pm on August 19th for an evening of family-friendly fun for an amazing cause!

These hearts will benefit Newtown Human Services, whose mission is to support a high quality of life for the Newtown community through services, programs, and information that promote mental, physical, and social well-being.

And, of course, we'll also be joined by Newtown-Strong Therapy Dogs!

This event will take place from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at NewSylum Brewing Co., 36 Keating Farms Ave., Newtown, CT.. Enjoy free parking and fun for all ages.

Cost is $11 per heart; donations are always welcome!

📚✂️✏️SUPPLY DRIVE🚌📒🖍️
The new school year is only a few weeks away and the Newtown back to school supply drive is ongoing until Aug 18th. Thanks to generous donations from New Heights Baptist Church and Steadfast Church we have enough backpacks for Newtown students.
We are still in need of more supplies to fill those backpacks. Please see the flyer for the most needed items. A donation bin is at the Community Center or you can donate through the following Amazon link. Thank you for supporting Newtown students in need!

What a great day for the Duck Race!
WIN members had a fun time under our tent selling ducks and socializing with our Newtown neighbors. ☀️🦆

WIN ended our year volunteering at 🦋Catherine’s Butterfly Party & at our adopted space at CVHAS 🌱gardens. We also enjoyed some fun and relaxation at our garden party!
Many thanks to all of our members for another year of serving our Newtown community together and to all of you who support us!

🍕🥗 Come on over to My Place! This Thursday, May 21st, mention WIN during lunch or dinner -dining in or take-out) and My Place will donate 20% to WIN!! Get a break from cooking and a household in need receives help - a WIN WIN for all!

We will use this to support all of our good deeds throughout the community: Thanksgiving meals, Easter baskets, sponsoring families for Christmas, Sue Rubino Scholarship, Great Pumpkin Challenge, and so much more!
