Join Two Coyotes Wilderness School for the first Crafternoon event in a series of community gatherings exploring the intersection of land stewardship and land justice.
We’ll gather for light snacks and warm beverages, and ground ourselves in gratitude. While younger kids are invited to join in games outside, adults and interested youth will stay in the barn for a talk about land justice from community leader, conservationist, and food justice advocate Reggy St. Fortcolin.
From there, Two Coyotes mentors will guide participants and families through an all ages hands-on workshop focused on identifying and responsibly harvesting invasive plants, learning how to remove them in a way that supports the surrounding ecosystem. After harvesting, we’ll transform what we harvested into a beautiful craft to take home.
Join us for this family-friendly afternoon of tending, learning, and making together. Come connect with the land, build community, and craft something meaningful from what we gather.
This event will be both indoors and outdoors, and will involve a moderate amount of hiking, so please come prepared to be outside in the cold and spend some time out on the land as we harvest.
In case of inclement weather, registered participants will be notified of any cancellation by 9am the day of the event.
Suggested donation: $10-20 per person
Donations will support the Golden Hill Paugussett Tribe, as well as continued land justice programming at Two Coyotes.
Spots are limited, so register soon to reserve your place!
