Community events this winter. Winter 1 Day Program coming up Feb. 16th!

Winter 1-Day Program - Monday, February 16th @ 10am-3pm, with community time afterward until 4pm @ Holcomb Farm in Granby, CT

This day is designed as parallel programming for the whole family! Adults participate in a fully facilitated experience that includes group challenges, nature connection, fire-building, facilitated discussions, and reflection. Children (ages 5-18) will participate separately in their own age-appropriate Two Coyotes programming.

Adults are welcome to attend whether or not their child is participating that day, and kids can be dropped off if the parent can’t stay. Our hope is to strengthen the threads between program and home, helping families feel more deeply connected to the wider TCWS community. The cost for the event is $75/child and $50/adult.

Join Two Coyotes Wilderness School for the first Crafternoon event in a series of community gatherings exploring the intersection of land stewardship and land justice.

We’ll gather for light snacks and warm beverages, and ground ourselves in gratitude. While younger kids are invited to join in games outside, adults and interested youth will stay in the barn for a talk about land justice from community leader, conservationist, and food justice advocate Reggy St. Fortcolin.

From there, Two Coyotes mentors will guide participants and families through an all ages hands-on workshop focused on identifying and responsibly harvesting invasive plants, learning how to remove them in a way that supports the surrounding ecosystem. After harvesting, we’ll transform what we harvested into a beautiful craft to take home.

Join us for this family-friendly afternoon of tending, learning, and making together. Come connect with the land, build community, and craft something meaningful from what we gather.

This event will be both indoors and outdoors, and will involve a moderate amount of hiking, so please come prepared to be outside in the cold and spend some time out on the land as we harvest.

In case of inclement weather, registered participants will be notified of any cancellation by 9am the day of the event.

Suggested donation: $10-20 per person
Donations will support the Golden Hill Paugussett Tribe, as well as continued land justice programming at Two Coyotes.

Spots are limited, so register soon to reserve your place!

🫶🏽 Thank you to the people who made our 25th anniversary celebration so special! 85 families, 180 people came together in a genuine form of connection that is rare to witness at this scale.

🙌🏽 Every part of this event - the food, music, photography, videography, games, face painting, crafting - was lovingly held by members of our community. We are so grateful to everyone who is part of our past, present, and future vision for in all that we are becoming.

💚 Together we raised $11,300 toward our $15,000 event goal, contributing to the broader $150,000 annual vision that supports our programs, mentors, land stewardship, and next generation growth.

🙏🏼 You can still help us close the gap! Make a one-time or monthly donation here: https://twocoyoteswildernessschool.campbraingiving.com/. Every contribution (big or small) moves us closer to sustaining this work for the next 25 years and beyond.

📸 Special thanks to parent volunteer photographer Jon Schroth for capturing the day with so much care.
