Summer Jam friend SteveSongs will be in Newtown tomorrow for a fabulous end to our children's concert series. Come join the fun 6-7 pm, Dickinson Park bandshell. As a reminder, Summer Jam's Kids-Helping-Kids campaign is seeking back-to-school supply donations for local children. Most needed items: Composition books, highlighters, colored markers, 2-pocket folders, 1-inch binders, pens, and pencils. Please consider bringing an item or two. Thank you so much for helping us pay it forward and for joining us for our sixth season of summer fun!

Thank you KB Whirly for bringing your enthusiasm and your suitcases of instruments from Maine to Newtown on a rainy summer day. We had a good giggle and lots of fun as we learned the imaginative lyrics to Portobello Mushroom, The Dessert Song and many more of your clever tunes!

The Summer Jam KB Whirly performance will be held indoors tonight! Please join us at Reed Intermediate School, 3 Trades Lane at 6 pm. Pack what you typically do and come join us! Plenty of space, a/c and no rain! Parking is in front of the school. Please enter through the white door to the right of the main entrance. Hope to see you tonight!

Parents and kids alike are in for a treat with KB (www.kbwhirly.com)! In the event of inclement weather, the performance will be moved indoors. Come join the fun! Reed Intermediate School cafetorium, 6 pm.

Join us next week for the one-man-band performance by Parents' Choice Award winner KB Whirly (fingers crossed the weather will cooperate but if not, the show will always go on indoors)!
