The day after the Inaugural Newtown Film Fest, we'd just like to reflect on what a fantastic weekend it was~

To Edmond Town Hall, which graciously lent us the venue for the weekend.

To the filmmakers, who allowed us to bring their meaningful creations to Connecticut.

To our sponsors, who provided amazing food, materials, and shout outs.

To The Newtown Arts Festival, which let us partner up with them in 2015 for additional visibility.

To the wonderful NFF team, founder, programmers, operations, volunteers, interns.

To the Carlin family for their hospitality during the weekend and making sure the girls were fed well.

And most importantly, to the Newtown community who came out to all our screenings with such enthusiasm! We would not have been able to make this festival happen without an audience, so thank you!!

Make sure you catch the Closing Night Doc IMBA MEANS SING!

The film is an NFF Connecticut Premiere and starts in 40 minutes!

Learn a little before attending: IMBA MEANS SING is the story of one little boy who is a big star. As the celebrity drummer from the Grammy-nominated African Children’s Choir, Moses relies on his youthful resilience. Growing up in the slums of Kampala, Uganda, Moses and his family lack enough resources for him to even attend the first grade. Moses is only eight-years-old when the film begins – yet he knows all too well that this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to secure his future and change the course of his family’s life. We follow Moses as he works for an education and spreads the magic of his African childhood.
