Time for the annual tuna canning. This year three of us joined Evelyn for an afternoon of canning tuna. Sandy and I have done this for a few years now but Ingrid is a newbie. And it involves an afternoon of card playing while we wait for the pressure cookers to do their job. Thank you Evelyn

A cloudy morning turned to partial sunshine as we sang at the Lincoln City Farmers Market today. Many friends and visitors stopped to listen. My favorite comment of the day from a visitor. “I can’t believe 10 voices made such beautiful music”. Next performance is at Mo’s Restaurant on the Bayfront in Newport. We will be there September 7th, 2026, from 1pm to 3pm. Come on down, have a bowl of Mo’s famous Chowder, and listen to the voices of the Oregon Coast Chorus.

If you haven’t been there yet or you hoping for more bargains stop by the Oregon Coast garage sale. Sale continues today at the American Legion In Newport 424 West Olive St. Just 2 blocks west of the Newport Public Library. Doors open at 9am.

Bag sale starts at noon. You buy a small bag for $2 or large bag for $5 and stuff all the clothing you can into it. There are still loads of nice, clean clothing left and we want it all to go.

The annual garage sale is underway. Open today until 4 and tomorrow 9a to 4p. Lots of quality items for sale, dishes and kitchen items, books, games, and puzzles, lots of clothes in all sizes, some tools. If you are looking for something special you can find it here. All proceeds help to support the Oregon Coast Chorus. Thank you for your support.

Living at the Central Coast, you just learn to expect the weather changes throughout the day. We were invited to sing at the Lincoln City Outlet Mall to entertain the many summer shoppers. There was a light mist in the air when we arrived yesterday, which turned to rain, then to cloudy, and finally to a beautiful sunshiny afternoon. Through it all we sang under the decorative pinwheels in the courtyard. The canopy protected us from the rain and then from the sun. Yes we will take credit for bringing sunshine to the Mall through our singing. Thank you Sharyn at the LC Mall for the invite. We had a blast singing and shopping.

Saturday at the Newport Farmer’s Market. Lots of strong gusty winds didn’t prevent shoppers from coming out and enjoying some great music.

Next Saturday, August 1, we will be sing at the Lincoln City Outlet Mall from noon until 2pm. Head on up to the Mall for some singing and shopping.
