Yesterday, the Ricardo J. Barbosa Foundation proudly delivered a variety of equipment to the Boys & Girls Club in the Ironbound section of Newark to support and enrich their soccer league. The Honorable Councilman Michael J. Silva was in attendance to endorse the Foundation’s mission.

Sports play a vital role in a child’s education — teaching teamwork, discipline, confidence, leadership, and perseverance both on and off the field. Through athletics, children build character, develop healthy habits, and learn life skills that stay with them far beyond the game.

Ricardo had an unwavering commitment to the children of the Ironbound, and we remain dedicated to honoring his life and legacy by continuing to support them year after year. 💙🖤

Yesterday our Foundation was amongst 40 organizations who had the opportunity to provide hundreds of individuals and families with essential resources and services. We successfully distributed 350 women’s/children underwear and 700+ feminine hygiene items. It was heartwarming to see so many volunteers come together to help those less fortunate through love, service and community. The event was organized by the Lee County Homeless Coalition and it was held at the Next Level Church in Fort Myers.

We are honored to participate for the 4th year in a row in the Homeless Annual Service & Veteran Stand Down Day, organized by the Lee County Homeless Coalition.

This impactful event brings together nearly 40 organizations and serves hundreds of individuals and families in our community.

Today, the Ricardo J. Barbosa Foundation proudly delivered toy donations to the Newark YMCA, made possible by the generosity of Dasi Salon in Livingston, NJ. For the second year in a row, Dasi Salon organized a toy drive in honor of Ricardo’s legacy. We are truly grateful for this meaningful partnership. Together, we are spreading joy and bringing smiles to the families at the YMCA.
