The United Nations added Israeli and Russian forces to their annual report on s*xual violence in conflict zones for the first time in 15 years since the report began. UN investigators verified 31 cases of s*xual violence committed against Palestinian men, women and children between 2023 and 2025. The UN warns the numbers in the report are indicative of ā€œincidents and patternsā€ and should not be viewed as a comprehensive summary of s*xual violence against Palestinians, as Israel continues to create restrictions UN investigators.

The report details a ā€œsystematic lack of accountability for violations against Palestiniansā€ which has perpetuated a climate of impunity. The report came out just a week after flotilla activists working to bring aid to Gaza reported at least 15 instances of s*xual violence while detained by Israeli forces.Ā  The repeated mass displacement of Palestianisns by Israel has also left women and girls in Palestine at ā€œheightened risks of s*xual violence.ā€

Over 80% of people in the US believe the US constitution grants women equal rights. It doesn’t - and we need to change that. The Equal Rights Amendment remains the only amendment ratified by 38 states that has not been formally included in the constitution.

A heavily pregnant refugee woman at an asylum seekers’ centre in Zeist, Netherlands was violently dragged to the ground by police on May 19 — she has since reported going into early labor, delivering a premature baby girl as a result of the trauma.

As points out: This is why abolition, immigration, and genocide are reproductive justice issues.

Reproductive justice isn’t only about the right to birth control or an abortion, it’s about the right to carry a pregnancy safely, to give birth with dignity, to raise children free from violence, including violence at the hands of the carceral system. When police enter spaces like asylum seekers’ centers — places already saturated with loss, displacement, and grief — and meet that pain with force, pregnant people are often subjected to reproductive violence.

Pregnant people deserve safety, care, and support and access to the full spectrum of reproductive care and justice.

Pride is not a corporate parade.Ā It’s an uprising and constant fight for liberation. šŸ“£Ā šŸ³ļøā€šŸŒˆĀ

In the 1950 & 1960s across the United States, same s*x relations were illegal, and folks were required to wear ā€œgender appropriateā€ clothing — clothes that aligned with their assigned gender. Police were routinely busting gay bars, targeting anyone outside of the gender norm or assumed to be q***r.

The history of Pride is tied to the Stonewall Riots, also called the Stonewall Uprising, which began in the early hours of June 28, 1969 when New York City police raided the Stonewall Inn, a gay club located in Greenwich Village in New York City that drag queens, Trans folks, butch le****ns, s*x workers, and homeless youth considered a safe haven.Ā

During that raid, a biracial butch lesbianĀ Drag King by the name ofĀ StormĆ© DeLarverieĀ resisted arrest, screaming out to others there, ā€œWhy don’t you guys do something?ā€ A rebellion was born, one that was led by Black and Brown trans and q***r folks and would continue on the streets around Stonewall for six days and galvanize a much wider LGBTQ+ rights movement.

In 1970, on the one-year anniversary of Stonewall, the first-ever Pride parade took place in NYC. It was a protest against police violence and discrimination. During Pride and beyond, we honor those whose fight brought about our current rights and center those who are most oppressed.

CLOSE DELANEY HALL. ABOLISH ICE. RELEASE THE DETAINEES.

For days, detainees inside Delaney Hall, an ICE detention center in Newark, New Jersey, have been on hunger strike to protest inhumane conditions, including rotten food, inadequate medical care, and a lack of due process. Families, advocates, and elected officials have gathered outside the facility in solidarity, demanding accountability and access to those being held inside.

As demonstrations grew, federal agents responded with escalating force. Protesters have been pepper-sprayed, struck with batons, pushed to the ground, and arrested. Federal officers repeatedly deployed pepper spray and other crowd-control tactics against demonstrators supporting detainees. Senator Andy Kim, who was there to inspect the facility, as is his job to do so, was also pepper sprayed.

Federal agents have now agreed to withdraw from the parking lot outside Delaney Hall, handing responsibility for the area to New Jersey State Police, but have still not left. ICE has repeatedly shown it cannot manage public protest safely. This year alone they have murdered multiple protesters while people they have detained continue to lose their lives under their care.

She called herself a feminist on camera and explained how her feminism shapes her platform. Meet Darializa Avila Chevalier, she’s running for US Congress to represent NY-13, (upper Manhattan and the Bronx.)

If elected, Darializa would be the first woman, Afro-Latina and Muslim to hold the seat. Her feminist values show up in the policies she’s fighting for: housing for all, accessible healthcare and Babies not Bombs, a call to divest from the genocide in Gaza to support babies and children in her district. Her commitment to people power over corporate dollars is evident as she has not taken a single dollar from AIPAC or other corporate PACs during her campaign.

She’s been organizing in upper Manhattan and the Bronx for over a decade and now voters will cast their ballots in the primary on June 23, with early voting starting on June 13.
