New York’s growing liability insurance crisis is putting essential services for children and families at risk. A new report from the Council of Family and Child Caring Agencies (COFCCA) details a rapidly deteriorating market, with rising costs and fewer insurers willing to cover child welfare providers. Nonprofits like Children’s Aid are facing increasing pressure on resources that should be invested directly in the communities we serve.

As our President and CEO Phoebe Boyer shares, this is more than an insurance issue. It’s a child welfare stability issue that requires a sustainable solution to protect the services and support children and families rely on.

Harlem showed up at Children’s Aid Dunlevy Milbank Community Center! 🙌

Teyana Taylor, Harlem’s own, and the Tey Foundation brought the community together for an unforgettable back-to-school giveaway, distributing more than 500 bookbags filled with school supplies, along with food, activities, and resources for families.

New York State Sen. Cordell Cleare, Council Member Yusef Salaam, artists Maino, Fergie Baby, and many more joined the celebration, with Double Dutch from Showdem Movement and a charity all-star basketball game featuring a $10,000 prize from the Tey Foundation.

Thank you to Teyana, the Tey Foundation, and everyone who showed up and gave back to the Harlem community! ❤️ 🧡 💙
