Zheng Qinwen delivered two unforgettable comebacks—first rallying from 5–0 down in the final set to defeat No. 22 seed and Grand Slam champion Madison Keys, 1–6, 7–6(3), 7–5. Then, after falling behind 5–0 in the opening set against former world No. 1 Iga Świątek, Zheng stormed back again to win 7–5, 6–3.
