At the Immigrant Legal Resource Center, Priscilla works to shut down Operation Lone Star (OLS), a multi-billion dollar scheme that threatens the safety and dignity of people in Texas. By sharing the unique stories of immigrant communities, she is educating lawmakers about the harms of OLS and changing the way we talk about safety at the border.

Read Priscilla's reflections from her time as a Narrative Innovators Lab fellow and how she uses the power of storytelling in her immigration advocacy work!

Do immigrants pay taxes? Yes! 💸 Should that be our focus? No! 🦋

There is so much misinformation circulating about immigrants. By design, the false and harmful stories behind common immigration myths aim to justify mass deportation by dehumanizing our families, friends, and neighbors.

While it may be tempting to debunk every myth you hear—to tell people why they're not true—the best way to respond is by telling positive stories that lead with shared values. This helps people see the bigger picture and focus on solutions.

Our new guide provides practical guidance for your conversations on social media or at the dinner table! Use it as an antidote to fear-based narratives.

Black History is our shared history. This month and always, we remain unwavering in our commitment to celebrating the achievements and contributions of Black leaders and community members. We can build on their legacy and change the way we talk about race and racism in this country.

Throughout February, we’ll share helpful messaging guidance to help you shift the narrative back toward racial justice in these turbulent times.

We're hearing so many harmful and untrue stories about immigrant communities these days, and these stories are used to justify inhumane policies. This is why it's important to shift the narrative.

TOA’s Narrative Guidance for the Immigrant Justice Movement compiles the key lessons learned from our 3-part Narrative Bootcamp series explaining the foundations of narrative campaigns and how to build narrative power for immigrant justice. It covers everything from intro to the concepts with real-world examples of how immigration advocates have put the concepts into action. Download it today to change the conversation.

Today our country celebrates the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. while also observing the inauguration of President Donald Trump. The irony is not lost on us.

Because President Trump’s rise to power was fueled by fear-based narratives and white supremacist ideology, it is more important than ever to embrace and amplify Dr. King's vision - one of bold, transformative change through radical love and unwavering pursuit of justice.

Dr. King's work went far beyond peaceful protests. He advocated for revolutionary changes to address poverty, militarism, and racial injustice. His vision remains as urgent and relevant as ever.

Today, we honor Dr. King by continuing his fight for genuine racial and social justice. We reject sanitized versions of history that minimize his radical commitment to transforming society. Instead, we embrace his call for bold, systemic change guided by love, justice, and the dignity of all people.

Keep the conversation going. Use our narrative guidance on talking about race, racism, and racial justice!
