I woke up with a splitting headache. We are breathing it. There is no way around it. We all need to stop burning fossil fuels. We can help each other figure out how to do it but the consequences of the burning are now clear… “The United States is burning faster than usual this year, while [massive smoke plumes](https://www.cbsnews.com/news/wildfires-smoke-millions-exposed-midwest-northeast-us/) from Canadian wildfires deplete air quality on both sides of the border. Experts believe the severity of the current fire season, affecting millions of acres of land between both countries, was primed by climate extremes. “

One climatologist said "a perfect storm" of climate extremes primed the western U.S. for one of its worst fire seasons in a decade. Meanwhile, Canadian wildfire smoke fills the air.

PLEASE SHOW UP FOR THIS! Tuesday July 14th…

🚨 PACK THE ROOM 🚨
Show up. Speak out. Help protect Lancaster's future.

AI data centers are energy- and water-intensive facilities, and two have already been approved in Lancaster.

City Council needs to hear from the people who will live with these decisions.

📅 Tuesday, July 14
🕡 6:30 PM
📍 120 N. Duke St. (use the side entrance)

Because Pennsylvania law gives municipalities little authority to block or pause these projects, Lancaster City Council is trying to establish zoning protections before more proposals arrive.

Serious concerns:
💧 Water use
🔊 Noise pollution
🌫️ Air pollution
🏘️ Community impacts

Go where the action is!!! The roof!!!

Industrial buildings could host gigawatts of shared solar to deliver low-cost power to underserved urban communities — if states and utilities allow it to…

The moral imperative…

As a pastor, I don’t use the word “hell” lightly, but I think it’s time.
