Hands-on learning from the CIJE Middle School STEAM Curriculum (CSMS)! 🧪

6th graders at YBH built CSMS Marshmallow Towers, then continued learning with CSMS Newspaper Thins towers that rose over 2 meters. Meanwhile, 7th graders practiced lab safety techniques in the CSMS Rainbow Lab.

CSMS brings together modules and labs like these so students can build, test, and explore STEAM education for themselves. 🏗️

Introducing the CIJE Lumin Prize: a brand-new national competition for Jewish day school students in grades 10–12, celebrating original work in art, writing, music, performance, service, and Torah study. 🌟

Students can submit up to three pieces **by September 24**, and every entry is blind-reviewed, so the work speaks for itself. Lumin Scholars earn national recognition, a feature in CIJE's digital journal, and results are announced by October 27, in time for college applications.
