It is no secret that anxiety affects millions of individuals, regardless of gender. The way anxiety manifests and is addressed can often differ between men and women. For men, societal expectations, stereotypes, and stigmas surrounding mental health can make acknowledging and managing anxiety particularly challenging.

In our men’s mental health resources, Prof. Ian Kelleher covers the topic of ‘Anxiety in Men’, exploring its various forms, underlying causes, and effective strategies for coping.

This is a huge step forward for Cycle Against Su***de. It will enable the team to invest in delivering more programs to more schools, workplaces and community groups. Hopefully we can have Mel join our Pilgrim Tour next summer here in Massachusetts.

Cycle Against Su***de is delighted to announce its new patron, Mel Sutcliffe, founder and CEO of Quanta Capital.

Mel is an avid cyclist with a huge passion for supporting young people, education and sport. Over several years, Mel has keenly supported Cycle Against Su***de’s awareness events.

And as a former International cyclist, the sport clearly runs in his veins. Mel also helped secure the future of cycle racing by stepping in to secure the future of the Junior Tour of Ireland over a quarter of a century ago and he has continued to sponsor the race to this day.

Mel holds an active personal interest in the life of his community, backing many causes. Cycle Against Su***de’s work deeply resonates with him, due to his belief in the importance of opening up conversations around mental health and encouraging early intervention.

Over the last decade, as Quanta Capital CEO, Mel has specialised in large scale funding and investment in commercial real estate. Becoming the patron of Cycle Against Su***de marks his latest and most impactful commitment, amplifying his influence in the fight against mental health struggles and su***de. Through this role, he will not only lend his voice and visibility but also drive awareness and support, reaching countless individuals and empowering Cycle Against Su***de’s mission like never before.

Mel’s generous support will enable Cycle Against Su***de to offer its services further across the whole of Ireland, north and south. The charity aims in particular to reach more families, creating a supportive environment that benefits not just individuals struggling with mental health but also their loved ones.
