Here's how:

100% of public donations made at charitywater.org directly fund clean water projects. All operating costs are covered by a group of private donors so every dollar donated by the public will help people around the world. From the start, we’ve publicly shared photos and GPS coordinates for every single charity: water project. You can find all of our funded projects on a map here:

For many people reading this, finding clean water is as easy as turning on a tap — in your home, at the office, or at school.

But that’s not true for everyone.

In fact, according to UNESCO, roughly half of the world’s population experiences water scarcity.

In the worst situations, women and girls spend hours each day seeking water that isn’t even safe to drink.

But you can help change that. Join our monthly giving community, The Spring, and bring clean water to the doorsteps of people who need it at [www.charitywater.org/donate.]

We made a bold promise at the very beginning of ’s history: 100% of public donations would always fund clean water.

That's still our promise today: No gimmicks, no catch.

Whether you give $5 or $50,000, every penny funds clean water: [charitywater.org/spring](https://charitywater.org/spring).

Clean water is essential for good health.

But it’s even more powerful when paired with sanitation and hygiene resources like latrines and handwashing stations.

Agents of change.

That’s how Evidence, who works for Zimbabwe’s Ministry of Health to prevent the spread of diseases in rural communities, refers to community members.

And the passion behind his reasoning will always stay with us.

"These people are agents of change. We want community participation. Once they participate, they own the project. Once they own the project, they will support the project. Once they support the project, we win as a team.”

Ending the water crisis will take all of us.

And when we win, we’ll win as a team, just like Evidence said.

This Mother’s Day, we’re thinking about the little things that should never be out of reach for any mom: clean bath water, healthy kids, peaceful evenings, and the simple sound of water filling a tub.

Sarah started collecting water for her family when she was just 3 years old. Three trips a day. Usually alongside her mother. Now, Sarah is a mother herself, and her daughter is growing up in a completely different world.

“The difference is that children today, they never faced the same challenges we faced. I tell them to look at the life we have gone through. We used to go and fetch water from a dirty place and we got diseases. We experienced a difficult life. But today, you are very lucky.”

Thanks to supporters like you, more mothers and daughters get to experience moments like these 💛

What's the one thing that can help us solve the global water crisis? 🌍

Charlie Engle asked Scott this question during his visit to the Experience Lab.

Charlie's an endurance athlete & ultramarathon runner who once raised six million dollars for clean water when he ran across the ENTIRE Sahara Desert.

Next year, Charlie's taking on something even bigger: a 5,000+ mile journey from the lowest point on Earth (the Dead Sea) to the highest (Mount Everest).

And on this journey, he's raising money for clean water through charity: water 💛

Stay tuned for more updates, and follow along as he documents the expedition 😊

Seeing clean water spring up from the ground might seem like the end of the story, but really, it’s only the beginning.

Clean water means more time, better health, and bigger opportunities — and it all starts with this moment.

Thank you for making it possible 💛

What does it take to build the best restaurant in the world? And what does that have to do with clean water?

For our first episode of "Conversations at the Experience Lab," Scott Harrison sat down with Will Guidara, restaurateur and author of "Unreasonable Hospitality," to talk about service, ambition, and leadership.

Access to clean water is perhaps the single most powerful tool for sparking economic growth that humanity has ever known.

Every $1 invested in clean water yields an estimated $4.30 in economic returns.

When you support a clean water project, you're helping break down barriers and build a bridge to a brighter future 💛
