The Baseball and Softball division of the Saint Athanasius Youth Program, and sponsored by Saint Athanasius Catholic Parish in Brooklyn NY. You can choose the right level of competition for your child from intramural to travel to tournament.

🚨 IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL ST. ATHANASIUS SPORTS COACHES & VOLUNTEERS 🚨

The Diocese will be conducting a review of all VIRTUS accounts, and we need every coach and volunteer to check their account status as soon as possible.

⚠️ DEADLINE: OCTOBER 31, 2026

Any VIRTUS account with outstanding required training updates or incomplete modules after October 31st will be SUSPENDED.

If your account is suspended, you will be required to complete the VIRTUS training again to reactivate it.

✅ WHAT YOU NEED TO DO:

1. Visit https://www.virtusonline.org/
2. Log in to your VIRTUS account.
3. Check for any outstanding training modules or required updates.
4. Complete ALL pending requirements before October 31st.

💻 All required updates can be completed online.

Even if you believe your account is up to date, PLEASE LOG IN AND DOUBLE-CHECK!

We appreciate all of our coaches and volunteers who dedicate their time to our young athletes. Let’s make sure everyone remains compliant so we can continue providing a safe and positive environment for our children.

It’s almost basketball season at St. A! We’re excited to welcome boys and girls ages 4–13 for another season focused on learning the game, building confidence, teamwork, and having FUN!

🏀 Season begins the weekend of November 13th
👦👧 Ages 4–9: Saturday mornings
⛹️ Ages 10–13: Friday nights
📅 Program runs through March
💵 Registration: $200

As we closeout another weekend of soccer there are a few things we need to address

1. Absolutely no parents, adults or children not playing in games allowed on the field during game play

2. Absolutely no double parking of cars on 53rd street. Also please leave our driveway unblocked as you can use that as drop off for children playing. We have a great relationship with our neighbors we would like to keep it that way

3. Please keep your comments to yourself in regards to players, coaches,referees and our organization if you can do better we have plenty of open volunteer positions available

This is not the World Cup it is a fun recreation league for kids. The coaches are volunteers The referees are children that have played in our organization for years they should be treated with respect
If you can do better lace up your shoes and head on down for a couple of hours of exercise

Reminder next weekend Rookie is on Saturday 230pm. We are keeping Sunday open so can enjoy the rest of your 3 day weekend

IMPORTANT: Rookie Soccer Moved Indoors Tomorrow + Mandatory Uniform Pickup Wednesday

Dear Rookie Division Parents,

Due to the expected rain, tomorrow’s Rookie Division soccer workout/games will be moved indoors to the St. Athanasius Catholic Academy gym.

⚽ TOMORROW – ROOKIE SOCCER

Time: 10:00 AM
Location: St. Athanasius Catholic Academy Gym
6120 Bay Parkway, Brooklyn, NY 11204
(61st Street & Bay Parkway)

Since we will be indoors, players DO NOT need cleats.

Please have your child bring:

* 👟 Sneakers
* 🛡️ Shin guards
* ⚽ Soccer ball

👕 MANDATORY UNIFORM PICKUP – WEDNESDAY

We will be distributing uniforms to ALL Rookie Division players on Wednesday evening.

Time: 7:00 PM
Location: St. Athanasius Field Clubhouse
53rd Street & 20th/21st Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11204

⚠️ A parent from every Rookie family must attend Wednesday night’s uniform pickup.

Uniforms will NOT be distributed during games, so please make arrangements to attend Wednesday evening to ensure your child receives their uniform.

Thank you for your flexibility with tomorrow’s weather-related change and for helping us get all of our Rookie players ready for the season.

We’ll see everyone tomorrow at 10:00 AM at the St. Athanasius Catholic Academy gym!
