YOUR VOICE MATTERS: VOTE YES ON PROPOSITION 14

Texas has taken a historic step forward in brain disease research. Governor Greg Abbott has signed the Dementia Prevention Research Institute of Texas (DPRIT) into law — authorizing a $3 billion investment over the next decade to advance research on brain diseases, including Huntington’s disease (HD).

But there’s one more step: voter approval of Proposition 14 is needed to unlock these funds. So, if you live in the state of Texas, vote yes on proposition 14, on November 4th!

Today, uniQure shared a press release with some disappointing news regarding the FDA regulatory process for their investigational gene therapy, AMT-130.

HDSA remains steadfast in our commitment to transparency and ensuring families have accurate, timely information as this situation evolves. We are in close contact with uniQure and will share updates as soon as new information becomes available.

To our HD families, caregivers, and advocates, we urge patience, compassion, and continued unity. The road toward treatments is rarely straightforward, but every step, even the hard ones, brings us closer to that goal. 💙
