❗HAPPENING NOW: Human services workers across NYS are advocating in Albany for ! Human Services Council of New York - HSC

Cost-of-living remains high, and State contracts are falling behind. With inflation at 2.7%, our workforce deserves investment to match that. The State must fund a 2.7% investment on all human services contracts and pass Wage Board Legislation to make progress towards long-term wage equity.

There’s a new Pride flag 🏳️‍🌈 on the block! And more coming! Thanks to everyone who came out to get the flag back up at the where it belongs.

History is shaped not only by monuments, but by communities that refuse to look away and be silent. We are PROUD to be part of that community.

The removal of the Pride flags from the Stonewall National Monument today is extremely upsetting and deeply insulting to the legacy of all who dedicated their lives to the fight for equality.

Stonewall is not only a national monument, it is part of the living history of our neighborhood and a defining symbol of the ongoing fight for LGBTQ+ rights and visibility.

Public symbols carry meaning. They signal who is recognized, whose history is honored, and who belongs. At a time when many in our nation are under attack by the very institutions charged with protecting our freedoms, erasure attempts like this resonate far beyond a single site, neighborhood, or city.

Greenwich House remains steadfast in our commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and care. We stand with our LGBTQ+ 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️neighbors, participants, staff, and partners ( ✊🏾💜), and we will continue to foster spaces where all people are welcomed, affirmed, and able to thrive.

Wendi’s story shows the power of the Center for Healing, where clinicians, counselors, and peer advocates work together to provide life-saving support for people navigating substance use disorder. This kind of comprehensive, community-based care depends on donor generosity.

As we approach the end of the year, your gift helps more neighbors find safety, stability, and hope.
