The Lucille Lortel Theatre and Foundation have always sought to uplift and enfranchise artists. We were founded to present bold and illuminating works, and to empower artists who may not have had the opportunity for their voices to be heard. We recognize that social, economic, and other barriers have exclud
ed many artists, staff, and audiences from full participation in our activities. While we have taken steps to become more inclusive, we can do more. As a leading Off-Broadway organization, we recognize that fostering an equitable, diverse, and inclusive environment is fundamental to serving our community.
