Standing at 51 Christopher Street—steps from where trans women of color, street youth, drag queens, le***ans, and gay men declared “No more” in June 1969—we feel the enduring impact of that night. When silence was shattered, a global movement ignited, proving that identity cannot be erased and love cannot be outlawed.

At Stonewall National Monument Visitor Center, our doors stand open as a beacon of dignity and belonging. LGBTQ+ History Month is our shared promise to honor the pioneers, protect our progress, and ensure every young person knows they matter.
