“‘Once a fellow, always a fellow’ truly feels real in moments like this.” — Jigyasa Labroo ‘23, founder of Slam Out Loud 💚

One of 11 total recipients in our latest follow-on funding cycle, Jigyasa is among the very first to be awarded Echoing Green’s new Sustainability and Scale grant.

This new grant will specifically support Fellows preparing to grow equity-centered solutions, while Catalytic Grants continue to back leaders testing novel ideas and solutions. Both recognize exceptional impact and, critically, provide unrestricted capital as Fellows’ organizations evolve beyond the seed funding stage.

Meet all the Fellows awarded this cycle’s follow-on funding grants below 👇

Echoing Green has invested $475,000 across 11 organizations led by alumni of our Fellowship program, marking the ninth cycle of follow-on funding. Building something new in the face of complexity, uncertainty, and real-world constraints can be deeply isolating. Our All Fellows Convening is designed to interrupt that.

For a few days in Mexico City, Fellows stepped away from their day-to-day to connect, reflect, and learn alongside peers who understand both the weight and the possibility of this work. While their focus areas and geographies differ, they’re united by a shared commitment to driving meaningful change.

“I came back energized and braver, knowing that there is a global community building alongside us.”

That’s the heart of the Fellowship experience—not just funding or resources, but a community that shows up for the work and for one another, during the program and long after.

“But this week, I was not alone,” is how Fellow Dr. Maria Uloko ‘25, founder of VULVAi, described feeling at Echoing Green’s 2026 All Fellows Convening (AFC), held February 9–12 in Mexico City. With past iterations hosted in cities like Accra, Ghana and Medellín, Colombia, AFC brings toge...

“You’re here to care; to care for your workers, your community, the planet, the other people that you do business with. . .” — Andrew Kassoy (1969–2025)

We are celebrating the extraordinary legacy of longtime Echoing Green board member Andrew Kassoy, who passed away this summer from cancer.

A co-founder of B Lab—which certifies companies, like Ben & Jerry’s, that meet social and environmental business standards—Andrew made it his life’s work to challenge the worst effects of capitalism and reimagine how business is done.

We will be forever grateful for his invaluable vision, leadership, and courage. 💚

🔗 Learn more about Andrew’s life and impact:

Some entrepreneurs take on markets and issues that few others dare touch. Too unwieldy, too risky, too undefined, or too unknown. Social innovators and entrepreneurs often take this a step even further. Not only do they take on challenging markets and issues, they aim to reimagine, redesign, and rep...

What does it take for social innovators to truly scale their impact?

For nearly 40 years, Echoing Green has supported bold leaders tackling the world’s toughest challenges. But even the most promising organizations can struggle to grow without the right kind of funding — capital that’s flexible, patient, and mission-aligned.

That’s why we’re building a continuum of capital, from early-stage Fellowships to follow-on grants and the Signal Fund, which helps Fellows expand their proven solutions.

Take True Moringa, founded by 2014 Fellows Kwami Williams and Emily Cunningham in Ghana. With support from the Signal Fund, they scaled their regenerative farming model from 3 to 10 million moringa trees 🌿, creating jobs, boosting farmer incomes, and unlocking millions in new investment.
