SAGE's page serves as a community for all LGBTQ+ people. Please respect our Social Media Community Agreement below. SAGE's Social Media Community Agreement

SAGE maintains a safe and respectful social media community. We welcome respectful debate and constructive suggestions intended to improve our community. Specific complaints or issues related to SAGE in New York City should be addressed through the grievance process via the appropriate SAGE Center, not through social media. We do not permit:
- Hate speech, defined as “speech that offends, threatens, or insults groups, based on age, race, color, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, disability, or other traits,”
- Name calling or obscenities
- Criticisms that name specific members of SAGE’s staff, board members, constituents or volunteers
- Negative commentary intended to disrupt SAGE’s work

Community members who violate these rules may receive a warning, or be blocked immediately from SAGE’s social media platforms altogether.

Announcing our 2026 SAGE Awards & Gala honorees! 🎉

Join us Monday, October 26 as we celebrate two extraordinary leaders:

🏆 Dr. Sam Chandan, Corporate Advocacy Award
Founding Director of the Chen Institute for Global Real Estate at NYU Stern and Global Chair of the Real Estate Pride Council, Dr. Chandan champions LGBTQ+ visibility and representation in commercial real estate. He is also leading research on LGBTQ+ senior housing and, as an economist and epidemiologist, on public health issues including mpox vaccine effectiveness and HIV transmission reduction.

🎤 Marilyn Maye, Lifetime Achievement Award
For eight decades, the legendary cabaret singer has been one of the most beloved voices in American entertainment. She holds the record for most appearances by a singer on The Tonight Show (76!), earned a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist, and sold-out Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium in 2023. Even now, in her late 90s, she headlines sold-out rooms and has been an outspoken friend and champion of the LGBTQ+ community throughout her career. And yes, she'll be performing a few classics for us!

Please join us in honoring their remarkable impact on our community.
