The AGBU Global Leadership Program is tailored to unite Armenian youth from all parts of the world to gain hands-on experience and industry exposure in their field of study. The AGBU Global Leadership Program unites Armenian youth from all over the world, encouraging their personal and professional growth through hands-on experience and industry exposure in their field of study. With personalized

placements in stimulating work environments, each participant is connected to like-minded professionals, getting an early start in building their career network as they acquire new skills to use beyond their time in school/university. Various activities, such as mentorship, panel discussions, workshops with community leaders and keynote speakers, develop and equip participants with the tools necessary to develop their individual leadership style. Our goal is to expose Armenians to leadership practices in various countries and encourage them to find ways to bring those same leadership skills to their home communities.

Our Boston participants spent the day exploring the Armenian Museum of America, where they discovered stories, artifacts, and exhibitions that highlight the rich history, resilience, and cultural legacy of Armenians across generations. The visit offered a meaningful opportunity to deepen their connection to their heritage while learning about the journeys that have shaped Armenian communities around the world.

The celebration continued as participants gathered to celebrate July birthdays, sharing cake, laughter, and time together. Moments like these remind us that the Global Leadership Program is not only about professional growth, but also about creating a community that feels like family.

Every journey begins with a single step, and for millions of immigrants, that step started at Ellis Island.

Our New York participants spent Sunday exploring one of America’s most historic landmarks, beginning with breathtaking views from Battery Park before visiting the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Along the way, they learned about the stories of immigrants who arrived in search of new opportunities, including Armenians who carried with them not only their hopes for the future, but also pieces of home. From family heirlooms to a traditional Armenian coffee set, these treasured artifacts offered a powerful reminder that preserving one’s heritage can remain just as important as embracing a new beginning.

With beautiful weather, ice cream in hand, and plenty of time to enjoy the waterfront together, the day blended history, reflection, and fun. Participants ended the evening back at Battery Park, taking in the FIFA World Cup halftime show and enjoying another memorable summer night in New York.

By exploring places that shaped so many immigrant journeys, participants gained a deeper appreciation for the resilience, traditions, and stories that continue to connect Armenian communities across generations.
