Dear THHS Family,
Please read this important announcement regarding the THHS Bridge Year Program.
We are grateful to Queens College President Frank H. Wu for his leadership and commitment to renewing this partnership. We also extend our sincere thanks to his administration, particularly Vivek Upadhyay, Assistant Vice President of Enrollment Management, and Jeffrey Rosenstock, Assistant Vice President for External and Governmental Relations, whose dedication and collaboration helped make this agreement possible. We are equally grateful to the faculty and administration of Queens College, including our colleagues in the College Now office, for their willingness to work alongside us in creating a viable path forward that will benefit Townsend Harris students for years to come.
In addition, we would like to express our gratitude to the elected officials who have consistently supported Townsend Harris's efforts to maintain college opportunities for our students. Throughout this process, Congresswoman Grace Meng () , State Senator John Liu ( C. Liu), Assemblymembers Sam Berger() and Nily Rozic (Nily Rozic 李羅莎) , and City Council Member James Gennaro ( Member James F. Gennaro) have advocated on behalf of our school. Their commitment to Townsend Harris has been unwavering, and we are counting on their continued partnership as we work to strengthen and expand this program in the years ahead.
As a result of this agreement, all seniors will continue to participate in a college-level bridge experience designed to mirror the expectations and rhythms of the freshman year of college.
