As we reflect on the past year, we are excited to share some initiatives we pursued beyond our direct service work to further our mission.

2025 brought many challenges, including a difficult political environment that threatened our community's safety and leadership transitions. The work was not easy. Despite the odds, we built spaces rooted in community, sustained by collective effort, and driven by the belief that safety is a human right.

Ramadan reminds us that reflection includes recognizing the strength we carry forward. Our progress this year was possible because our community supported one another and remained resilient. As we look ahead, we know the challenges our communities face are increasing, making sustaining these initiatives even more critical.

Help us carry forward the strength we built over the past year. ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿ’œ

This Ramadan, we are raising $5,000 to sustain one of our most meaningful community traditions.

We are fundraising to cover the cost of our annual Iftar for our survivors of domestic violence, senior Muslim women, and youth.

Our Iftar is more than a meal. It is a vital space that strengthens the support systems empowering our survivors. A space of connection, dignity, and collective care. Ramadan carries the spirit of communal gathering, and our Iftar extends that spirit to Muslim survivors facing isolation and various forms of domestic violence, including spiritual violence.

As our community members navigate trauma and ongoing systemic harm, spaces like this provide a pause. A moment of safety and belonging. At a time when our communities face heightened violence and uncertainty, gathering together provides the stability needed to regroup and hustle forward.

This Iftar is a pillar of our work and a reflection of our commitment to combating violence and empowering our survivors to rebuild their lives with dignity and joy.

Your support ensures this tradition continues without interruption.

Ramadan Mubarak! ๐ŸŒ™

Wishing you and your loved ones a month filled with peace, reflection, and blessings.

We stand with communities experiencing violence and displacement, from Gaza to the DRC, and with those in our own neighborhoods facing violence and uncertainty at the hands of oppressors.

In our fight to combat violence, we know that safety is sacred. During this holy month, we pray for protection, healing, and justice, especially for survivors and immigrant families who continue to show extraordinary resilience.

Everyone deserves to be safe and to spend Ramadan surrounded by loved ones in community.

This past Saturday, we held our 2nd Annual Winter Party for our clients and their children! โ„๏ธ

Our clients enjoyed a self-care craft session, while the kids watched a movie so moms could connect and create together. The winter months can be heavy and increase the isolation that survivors often face, making these spaces so important for spreading joy and fostering community.

We ended the day by distributing coats from our Winter Coat Drive, bringing warmth to our clients and the biggest smiles to the cutest little faces!

A huge thank you to everyone who donated to our coat drive and helped us provide 34 families with coats and winter gear, and a special thanks to and for their partnership in making this possible! ๐Ÿซถ

We need your help. With ongoing instability like cuts to SNAP benefits, many of our community members are struggling to make ends meet. When systems fall short, itโ€™s up to us to show up and be the safety net. That is why we are bringing back our Winter Clothing Drive this year to help ease the burden on our clients and offer a gesture that lets them know they are seen and cared for.

You can help by:
๐Ÿ’œ Buying a coat from our Amazon Wishlist
๐Ÿ’œ Sharing the registry link with friends, family, and colleagues
