👉 Where Your Work with Trauma Deepens

Applications are open for ICP's Trauma Studies Center!

ICP's Trauma Studies Program supports the candidates through the transformational process of becoming a Trauma Therapist. ICP offers a foundational understanding of what trauma is, how to recognize it, how to sit with it in the room and how to know which tools to use when. The most common reason why tools do not always work is because they are missing the foundation of trauma education that ICP provides.Individual supervision at ICP's Trauma Studies Program is highly personalized and unfolds like a case study. Theory informs the work, but clinical depth remains the priority. Two clients, one supervisor, week after week, with supervisors that are literally handpicked for their expertise.

Our tailored supports are designed to provide the professional and personal guides so the material learned becomes part of one's professional and personal identities. We are built to be the stepping stone for alumni as they reach their next states of their career. This includes opportunities to begin supervising, or running a group, presenting or teaching a topic with specific expertise, or joining the policy forming committee.Since 2004, ICP's Trauma Studies Center has trained clinicians in the theory and treatment of psychological trauma, making it the first NYC psychotherapy training institute to offer comprehensive trauma training and the most clinically focused certificate program in the metropolitan area.

Our faculty are seasoned practitioners skilled in a range of trauma processing methods, all in active clinical practice. This two-year program combines coursework, group case consultation, and individual supervision to help mental health professionals develop an integrated understanding of trauma, and the practical clinical skills to treat traumatized clients effectively. If you are ready to deepen your expertise in trauma treatment, we invite you to explore and apply!

Navigating the GLP-1RA Boom: What Clinicians Need to Know. 🧠✨
The rise of GLP-1RAs (like Ozempic and Wegovy) has created a supply chain crisis, a media frenzy, and - for many of our clients - an intense new pressure to lose weight.
As providers, how do we stay grounded in body-neutral, weight-stigma-informed care when the marketplace is moving in the opposite direction?

Presenter Melainie Rogers (Founder of BALANCE eating disorder treatment center™) will help us explore:

✅ The history of the HAES movement vs. the current "whiplash."
✅ The impact of high-profile celebrity and athlete endorsements.
✅ Strategies for maintaining a HAES-informed practice today.
Pricing: $20-$85

LAST chance to get more information & apply to our Two-Year Psychodynamic Psychotherapy therapy training program! ⏰

ICP’s Two-Year Program in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy offers an intensive evening training experience that integrates coursework, individual and group supervision, patient contact, and individual psychoanalytic psychotherapy. The program emphasizes both clinical skill development and personal awareness, supporting clinicians in deepening their work while balancing full professional lives 🌿

“Psychodynamic” refers to a mind in motion. Psychodynamic thinking focuses on the importance of the unconscious, of symbolic communication, of affect, and of transference (an unconscious experiencing, in an interaction with someone in the present, of feelings and expectations based on a relational pattern from early in one’s life), all of which are dynamic components of experience. A general expectation of treatment is that the patient will develop expanded recognition of options in life, patterns of relationships, and learn to identify, tolerate, and manage emotions 🌟

Join us for our FINAL Information Session to learn more about the program structure, curriculum, supervision, scholarship opportunities, and to hear from program leadership, faculty, and current and former candidates.

No cost to attend! We look forward to meeting you. Sign up now.
