Plumbers union representing nearly 6,000 plumbers and apprentices throughout New York City. These guidelines are subject to change without notice.

Attention Local 1 Members (and all NYC Residents):
TURN OVER YOUR BALLOT, AND VOTE "NO" ON ALL 2026 NYC BALLOT PROPOSALS.

The 2026 NYC ballot includes proposals that would limit or revoke community oversight and reduce community input on decisions that directly affect New Yorkers’ daily lives. These proposals would shift long‑standing checks and balances away from the public and toward concentrated executive control.

This administration — and every future administration — should NOT be handed a blank check.
The proposals expand executive power in ways that will outlast any single mayor and reshape how this city is governed indefinitely.

When oversight disappears, protections disappear with it.
Once these protections are given away, they are gone for good.

Earlier this week, Plumbers Local 1 Business Agent Bob Murray caught up with New York State Senator Jessica Scarcella-Spanton.

Jessica has proven herself to be a friend of organized labor. We wish her the very best in her reelection campaign and thank her for her continued support of issues that matter to union members and their families.

Plumbers Local 1 looks forward to continuing our partnership with Senator Scarcella-Spanton as we work together to advance critical infrastructure investments and support upcoming projects that will create good Union jobs and benefit the residents of Staten Island.
