This Wednesday 10th June, we are looking forward to welcoming author James Harvey for an evening of conversation about his new memoir 'Grappling with Ghosts: Childhood Memories from Postwar Ireland and London'.
He will be sharing extracts from his book, which chronicles his early life in post-war Donegal and London, to his successes here in America. This will be a fantastic chance to hear his extraordinary story, ask questions, purchase a copy of his book, and connect with each other!

Some exciting events coming up in May! The 32 County Social will be help on Sunday, May 3rd from 3-7pm in Rory Dolans (Yonkers), and is set to be a fantastic afternoon! Additionally, the 2026 New York Mary from Dungloe selection will take place on Sunday, May 17th at Tailor Public House (Manhattan), so be sure to sign up or forward on the details to any young women you know who might be eligible for this fabulous opportunity!

The Donegal Association of New York is saddened by the passing of the incomparable Moya Brennan.
A legend in both her home county of Donegal, as well throughout the world, Moya was a singular voice and the leader of the award-winning band Clannad.
We were delighted to have her join us for the St. Patrick’s Day parade in NYC back in 2016, when so many of our members noted her warm, joyful spirit, and were delighted when she sang at the parade banquet.
She was a truly special and unique talent, and an incredible ambassador for Donegal and Ireland.
