Yesterday the supreme court enabled the Trump regime, in conjunction with fascist state governments, to purge voter rolls on a potentially unprecedented scale. And yet, people will continue to argue that if we can contain people’s anger to vague issues with bipartisan appeal and contain people’s action to the voting booth and getting out the vote, then supposedly we can contain the worst excesses of the fascist regime in the White House. That’s just not how any of this works.

Last week AP disclosed horrific new policies of disappearing people from the Online Detainee Locator System and directing ICE staff to withhold detainees’ location from lawyers and family members. Meanwhile the ACLU reported that “The Trump administration has deported over 23,000 people over the last year and a half to countries they have no relationship with, where they may not speak the language, and where they generally have no legal status. Sometimes, it deports people to conflict zones or countries where they are likely to face persecution or even torture.
The Trump administration is spending tens of millions of dollars to fly people, shackled at times for over 50 hours, to “third countries” where they have no ties — even when they have won protection in U.S. immigration courts. The policies and agreements behind third country deportations are being negotiated behind closed doors, and some have never been made public.”

Relying on the midterms to stop fascism?
THEY’RE ALREADY MOVING TO STEAL THEM.

Millions are staking everything on the midterms. But the Trump regime holds federal power, is suppressing the vote and moving to subvert the elections. Even a Democratic Congress leaves Trump in power.

They tried to overturn the 2020 election and unleashed violence when they lost. This time, they’ve purged those who might stand in their way, flout Congress, bent federal power to their will, and have the Supreme Court at their back.

This is a rolling coup. They are moving on every front to cement fascist rule—and shut down the means to remove them. THIS REGIME MUST BE DRIVEN FROM POWER.
