over at What Will the Neighbors Say?
we are thrilled to share our 11th season!
featuring new work, a residency program,
creative partnerships and free education
this season is our boldest, most varied yet

we are thrilled to begin development on
“¡FRUTAS!,” a new documentary play
exploring the 1954 guatemalan coup,
with Sophie Amieva, Edu Díaz and
Pablo Calderón-Santiago, supported by the
New York City Department of Cultural Affairs
and the North American Cultural Laboratory 🍌
with the support of the wyman-potter
foundation, we have brought back our
bi-annual “new to the neighborhood”
incubator for femme/trans/non-binary
writers of the global majority in brooklyn
in partnership with the The Brick Theater 🖊️
beginning in january, we will be public
artists-in-residence with the folks at the
Brooklyn Public Library at their flagship
library for arts and culture branch, bringing
diverse brooklyn artists and collaborators
in for free public arts workshops, and
creating a new interview-based project 📚
we are so excited to be returning for our
second season as classic perspectives
curators and moderators with our friends
at Classic Stage Company, offering free
programming featuring the creative teams,
experts, historians and academics 📣
for the fourth consecutive years, we are
returning to Barrington Stage Company
Barrington Stage Company Ed. Department
programming, working alongside their team
with local young people as part of their free
playwrights mentoring program, curated in
our season under what will the kids say? 🎭
last but certainly not least, we are excited
to share that our free digital culture magazine,
"from the neighborhood," will return under
the curation of our frequest collaborator and
brilliant director Federica Borlenghi, who will
