💛 Every child deserves to feel seen, valued, and safe to be themselves. As Anti-Bullying Month comes to a close, we're spotlighting four of our favorite books that help families start meaningful conversations about kindness, empathy, standing up for yourself, and supporting others.

👨🏾‍🏫💬 Parent-teacher conferences are an opportunity to go beyond grades and better understand how your child is learning to read and write. Not sure what to ask? Our friends and partners at Advocates for Children have created a helpful tip sheet with questions to guide conversations with your child’s teacher, understand their progress, and identify ways to support their literacy development at home. 🤝💡

Our Very Involved Parents (VIPs) recently took part in a professional development session led by Dan, building skills and confidence to amplify their voices, advocate for their communities, and help NYC’s youngest readers thrive. 💛📚

At LINC, we believe caregivers are powerful, and our VIPs, continue to show how investing in parents helps strengthen families and communities!

Big news for NYC families: Kwame Zohran Mamdani (NYC Mayor's Office) and Governor Kathy Hochul are expanding access to free child care and early learning! 👩🏽‍🍼💛

LINC celebrates these investments, including the elimination of out-of-pocket child care voucher fees and the expansion of 2-K, with 10,000 additional seats planned for Fall 2027. The expansion will bring 2-K to every school district in the Bronx and all of Staten Island, reaching 12,000 children citywide.

At LINC, we know learning begins long before kindergarten. Through our LINCubator programs, we equip child care providers and families with the tools to nurture early literacy at home and in the classroom, helping every child build a strong foundation for lifelong learning..

📚💡 Learning doesn’t stop at the classroom door! When Cristyonna needs help with schoolwork, she knows she can turn to her teacher—or even a friend—for support. Families play an important role, too. By connecting with your child’s teacher, understanding how they’re doing in reading and math, and planning together, you can help reinforce learning at home. 👩🏽‍🏫🤝
