*In recognition of Opioid Overdose Awareness Month, this presentation will highlight how Sun River Health's Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) Program combines evidence-based treatment, harm-reduction, peer support, and integrated healthcare services to prevent overdose and support recovery. Attendees will learn about innovative approaches being implemented across the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island, including naloxone distribution, fentanyl and xylazine test strips, and injectable buprenorphine. The session will also explore practical strategies for engaging individuals in care, reducing stigma and strengthening community-based responses to the overdose crisis.

More than half of the people who misuse prescription opioids also binge drink, and 1 in 7 prescription opioid deaths involve alcohol.
States with more alcohol safety measures and policies have lower binge drinking.
