Proud hometown of Sir Gerardo V. Calderon, KGCR—former Supreme Commander of the Knights of Rizal and current Mayor of Angono—whose life has been dedicated to public service, national pride, and the enduring ideals of Dr. José P. Rizal.

As Supreme Commander, Sir Gerardo V. Calderon led the Knights of Rizal with integrity, humility, and vision. He travelled extensively across the Philippines and around the world, strengthening the Order’s international presence and carrying the name, teachings, and ideals of Dr. José Rizal to every corner of the globe.

Through his leadership, he inspired Rizalians to remain steadfast in their commitment to patriotism, civic responsibility, cultural understanding, and service to humanity.

His tenure as Supremo was marked by unity, fellowship, and the continued growth of the Knights of Rizal worldwide. He encouraged every Knight to be an ambassador of Rizal’s values, fostering friendship among nations while preserving the legacy of the Philippine National Hero for future generations.

Today, as the current Mayor of Angono, Sir Gerardo continues to lead with the same spirit of selfless service. A humble public servant, he champions culture, the arts, education, tourism, and community development, ensuring that Angono remains worthy of its title as the Art Capital of the Philippines. His leadership reflects the true meaning of servant leadership—placing the welfare of the people above personal recognition.

He now represent a the Rizal Center Foundation as its President, further spreading the teachings of Rizal.
