Safety Tips!

New York City faces many hazards: extreme heat, heavy rain and flash floods, coastal storms and hurricanes, winter weather, and earthquakes. These can threaten lives, damage homes, and disrupt daily life.

Good Morning:
I hope all is well, and I'm sharing a few updates. If you don't have to go out, please stay home.
If you know of someone who needs to stay warm, they can go to a warming shelter. There are two in Queens. We will have a Code Blue for the rest of the week. Sidewalks should be cleared by 11:00 am.

Today our youth committee attended the Citizen NYC youth committee conference and has such a great time collaborating with other youth committees ans meeting new people!

What an amazing evening it was!
When new neighbors and old neighbors were able to come together and celebrate the achievement of 149th South Park Civic Association
As it celebrated it's 50th year, the organization reflected back on the contributions of the founding members
and those who came along in later years.
The primary objective of this organization from the beginning was to serve and advocate for the well-being of the community and over the past 50 years they have done so and excellence.

At the 149 th Civic 50th Gala everyone was having a great time including the president Aracelia Cook and member Danny Nerio
