Congrats to Eva Trevisan. The USBBA is so proud of you and excited to see our sport grow. We still remember how you shaped the USA’s experience in The Netherlands back in 2022. What an amazing day of Blind Baseball at the New York Institute for Special Education in the Bronx! ⚾️💙

Our annual Blind Baseball Clinic was full of energy, smiles, and incredible personal achievements from some truly inspiring young athletes. We’re so proud to share this day with the dedicated NYISE staff and supporters who helped make it possible.

A huge thank you to Ms. Carina Cam for her continued partnership, and to our friends at CBS News for shining a spotlight on the positive impact of our adapted sport of Blind Baseball.

We can’t wait to see many of these talented young players again next spring as we kick off our 2026 Youth Blind Baseball Program in Central Park, NYC!

Join us October 18th at Queens College for a historic day of sport, advocacy, and community as we celebrate ability, awareness, and inclusion on and off the field!

In honor of White Cane Awareness Day and National Disability Employment Awareness Month, this special event brings together players, advocates, and fans for the final United States Blind Baseball Association (USBBA) game of the 2025 season.

⚾ The Harlem Jazz take on The LG Lightning in an inclusive, mixed-gender adaptive baseball showdown celebrating teamwork, empowerment, and independence.

Address:
Queens College
Heineken’s Stadium
64-80 Kissena Blvd
Flushing, NY 11367

Gates open at 1:00 PM, with first pitch at 1:35 PM.

Why It Matters

White Cane Awareness Day (also called White Cane Safety Day) honors the independence and mobility of people who are blind or visually impaired.
The white cane is more than a tool—it’s a symbol of freedom, safety, and the right to travel independently.

National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) highlights the talents and contributions of people with disabilities in the workplace and encourages inclusive hiring and accessibility across all industries.

A light breeze with plenty of sunshine, a beautiful day for Baseball, and a better day for Blind Baseball.

Some of our players have hearing impairments in addition to being blind/visually impaired. The wind can sometimes impact their ability to hear the audible sounds and cues generated by our adapted equipment and coaches. Adjustments are made, strength and weaknesses are identified, and the game goes on.
