This is Cody today, with his daughter.

At nine years old, he was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Chemo sessions stretched up to five hours, and hospital stays sometimes lasted a month. Treatment continued for three years.

Now, Cody's outlook on life is simple: "I focus my energy on things that make me happy and don't dwell on things out of my control."
