Eden Centers for Hope and Healing

Eden Centers for Hope and Healing Eden Centers for Hope and Healing is a movement to eradicate the trafficking and selling of human beings.

We empower women to transform their lives through the healing power of life in community. Eden House does this by providing a safe home, coordinating recovery services, and through advocacy, outreach, education, and love. Eden House is a long-term residential program for women who have been commercially and sexually exploited. Eden House provides a holistic approach to recovery that includes outre

ach, housing, food, mental and physical health care, job training, education, legal services, and spiritual support, as well as public policy support, advocacy services, and education. Thanks to considerable community support and enthusiasm, Eden House opened its doors to its first residents in fall of 2012 and has since housed over 45 residents, and has reached and assisted over 250 women through outreach, services, and referrals.

Renovations at Eden House, where Eden Centers first began, officially started on April 20, marking an exciting new chapter for Eden Centers and the survivors we serve.

Once complete in January 2027, Eden House will reopen, providing space for eight additional survivors of human trafficking to find safety, healing, and support through our two year residential program.

We are deeply grateful to the State of Louisiana and the Oscar J. Tolmas Charitable Trust for helping make this project possible. This reopening represents renewed opportunity, stability, and hope for survivors rebuilding their lives.

Eden Centers would not exist without the support of our incredible volunteers!! This spring, we were grateful to welcome several groups, including Church of the King, Team Royal, First Baptist Church Brookhaven, MS, Westside First Baptist, Trinity Baptist Church, and First Baptist Church Douglassville, who helped make Eden Centers an even better place. A huge shoutout to MissionLab for connecting us to some of these amazing groups! From creating a full spa day experience to moving furniture for women in our housing program and assisting with so many other needs, their service made a meaningful difference. We are deeply grateful for all they do. To learn more about volunteering, or to inquire about opportunities for your church, school, or club, please visit our website!

Our team recently completed the four part caregiver training in Trust-Based Relational Intervention, a trauma-informed approach that is the foundation of how we care for survivors.

TBRI reminds us to look beyond behaviors, understand underlying needs, and build healing through connection, empowerment, and modeling healthy relationships.

We are grateful to Stephanie Wilkins, our Chief Clinical Officer, for leading this training, to Crossroads Louisiana and the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development for making this education possible!

Thank you for making this our most successful GiveNOLA ever!

By the end of the day, 144 supporters helped us raise $25,952 for survivors of human trafficking.

To everyone who gave, shared our posts, reached out to friends and family, or told someone about Eden Centers: thank you. Your support made a difference.

We are so grateful for this community!

Not everyone is ready to jump straight into a two-year program, and that is why the Eden Emergency Center matters so much. For many survivors, those first 90 days of stabilization are everything: a chance to know they are safe, begin to regulate, and take the first steps toward healing.

In fact, 100% of the women in our two-year program first received care through our Emergency Center. That foundation of safety and stability is huge for long-term recovery and future success.

If you would like to help us continue meeting survivors where they are and walking with them toward healing, please consider making a gift through our GiveNOLA page: www.givenola.org/eden-centers

Thank you for helping us reach our $20,000 goal!

But we’re not done yet. We’re raising our goal to $25,000 so we can say yes to more: more support, more care, more safe nights for survivors.

There is still time to give. Help us finish strong!

We’re halfway through GiveNOLA Day, and thanks to supporters like you, we’re making strong progress toward our $20,000 goal.

That goal would mean so much for Eden Centers, and even more for the survivors we serve. Recently, we’ve celebrated so many meaningful milestones: major sobriety anniversaries, new jobs at local businesses, reunification with children, and the end of the semester for women studying social work and EMT training.

These victories belong to them. They are the result of courage, hard work, and determination. But support from this community helps make that progress possible.

Help more survivors move forward this GiveNOLA Day: www.givenola.org/eden-centers
